DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers remain “engaged with other teams” on Tarik Skubal trade talks, according to a report. ESPN’s Buster Olney posted Friday on X, saying that it’s still unclear if the Tigers will trade Skubal, but that they “continue to be engaged with other teams in discussing” options.

To add to the mix, the Tigers recently signed Drew Anderson to a one-year contract after four seasons in Asia. In 2025, he registered a 2.25 ERA with 51 walks and 245 strikeouts across 171⅔ innings in 30 starts in KBO League. Anderson, who turns 32 in late March, will report to spring training as a starter, with a fallback role as a reliever.
