The Emirates NBA Cup has thrown the Week 8 schedule for a loop, with Indiana, Minnesota and Sacramento having excellent schedules.

TEAMS WITH TWO GAMES: Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards

The New Orleans Pelicans now know the two games that have been added to their schedule after going 0-4 in West Group B of the Emirates NBA Cup.

Dec. 9 How they got here: Orlando clinched East Group B and the No. 1 overall seed with a win over Detroit on Friday. That Pistons loss, plus a Cavaliers loss, opened the door and Miami walked through it to advance as the Wild Card with a 3-1 record.

After failing to advance in the Emirates Cup, the NBA has added two additional regular-season games for the Detroit Pistons.

With their NBA Cup run officially over, the Cavs (12-8) won’t be packing for Las Vegas, but they did get clarity on what their rearranged schedule will look like next week.

So far, the Rockets are 0-2 in the second game of a back-to-back, losing to the Mavericks and the Utah Jazz (Dec. 1). Their schedule through the early portion of the season has been relatively easy, having faced just seven teams that currently have a top-six seed in each conference.
